The embryologist called this morning to give us an update on
our fertilized eggs. He said of the 13 eggs retrieved on Wednesday, ten of them
were healthy and mature and were fertilized using ICSI. This morning, all ten
of them were still healthy and dividing. All ten! Now, there’s no guarantee
that all ten will still be viable by Monday, but ten is more than I dared to hope
for. Mike was so excited when I told him the news. He was downright giddy for a
while afterward.
